Clearing events

We are holding an Open Day and a webinar for all students who are made an offer through the Clearing period.

Clearing Open Day

The Clearing Open Day will take place on our campus on Saturday 15 August 2026 from 10:30 to 14:30. 

This is a chance to see the campus for yourself and get a feel for our campus and city. You can:

  • find out more about university accommodation and view one of our halls of residence
  • ask our academic staff questions about your course
  • join a walking tour led by our current students
  • speak to our student support teams
  • chat to current students about life at Cardiff University

There is no need to book. If you have been made an offer through Clearing you can just turn up on the day.

Where to find us

When you arrive, make your way to the Centre for Student Life. You will find our team at the information desk, and they will point you in the direction of the various talks and subject sessions taking place throughout the day.

Clearing webinar

You can join us online on Monday 17 August 2026 at 16:00.

This session is for students and parents and focuses on the practical side of starting university. We will walk you through the next steps of your application and what to expect during your first week. Plus, there will be a Q&A with our staff to help with anything on your mind.

The webinar will last approximately 1 hour.

We will share the registration link closer to the event.
