WSA Student Show 2024

Titled 'In Transition', the 2024 student exhibition was curated by our students to demonstrate how major shifts impacting society today - from challenges to human rights to climate change - influenced their projects and shaped their design thinking, propositions and visions.

As Head of School Professor Juliet Davis said in her opening speech at the launch of the exhibition, transition is at the heart our vision statement. Our aim is to make a substantial contribution to the transition to and making of a sustainable built environment that can enhance the wellbeing of present and future generations and care for the planet.’

In their yearbook our student organisers describe architecture as a discipline that is continuously grappling with transition as societal demands change and evolve. Their aim was that the exhibition would offer an opportunity to pause, making way for conversation and debate between students and practice, bridging the gap between education and the profession, and clearing the path for emerging ideas.

Being a part of the the Exhibition Lead team was a fantastic adventure. Collaborating with students from other years and the WSA staff was an unforgettable experience that opened my horizons, expanded my knowledge and allowed me to gain new skills.
