International students wishing to study for a degree are admitted on exactly the same basis as all other students and should follow the admissions procedures described on this page. Further information and advice is available from the International Students area of the University website.
If you wish to study in Cardiff on a short-term exchange visit, the application procedure varies depending on which exchange scheme you are applying for. Please see the International Students webpages for further information.
Postgraduates
Applications for postgraduate taught degrees (MA/MSc/MTh) and research degrees (MPhil/PhD) can be made electronically via the online application service. Please check the webpage for your chosen degree programme carefully for specific entry requirements or application procedures.

Applicants for the MA/MSc should use the Personal Statement section of the form to outline their area of interest and the topic that they hope to research for their dissertation.
You can apply at any time of the year, and your application will be considered as soon as we have received all your references and supporting documents, so please ensure that they are sent promptly.
The deadline for MA/MSc applications is 1 August each year. Applications which arrive after that date will be considered for entry in September of the following year.
