Responsible Innovation Network

Encouraging agenda-setting partnerships between the University and local, regional and international stakeholders that facilitate new public value creation in the era of societal challenges.

The network encourages agenda-setting partnerships between the University and local, regional and international stakeholders that facilitate new public value creation in the era of societal challenges.

Responsible innovation is a collective commitment of care for the future through responsive stewardship of science and innovation in the present. In this respect, the network has been established to create a convening space where interested researchers, students, public and private organisations and concerned citizens can come together to consider how new innovative thinking might shape the way we think about the future. It responds to the challenge of societal challenges – climate change, renewable energy, ageing societies, dignified eldercare, food security, diet-related disease, mass migration.

We are interested in facing such challenges not just on the international stage but also closer to home and especially within the UK and Wales.
