6 November 2009

Professor Keith Meek and members of his research group, Dr Sally Hayes and Dr Tina Kamma-Lorger, were recently the subject of a BBC Oxford news item.

A normal eye (a), and the clinical appearance of Macular Corneal Dystrophy (b).

Professor Meek and his team were filmed at the Diamond Synchrotron, Oxford, where the team are investigating ways of restoring vision loss due to corneal-based blindness by using stem cell therapy.
