Katie Demery and Helen Berry have returned to the new academic year in Cardiff after spending a couple of weeks at the Fielmann Akademie in Plön, Germany. The School of Optometry has a student exchange partnership with the Fachhochschule Lübeck and the Fielmann Akademie, and Katie and Helen were able to spend time developing their technical dispensing skills, working alongside students on the Augenoptiker course. Plön is a beautiful lakeside town in Northern Germany, and the Akademie is based in the Schloss Plön. The girls also had time to spend in visiting nearby Lübeck and Hamburg. It is planned that another couple of 2nd year students will be visiting Plön next year!
