Tapestry of Touch national tour
Starts: 9 April 2014
Sense proudly presents the Tapestry of Touch national tour. There are over 250,000 children and adults who are deafblind in the UK. In 2013 Sense, the national charity for people who are deafblind, launched The Great Sense Pompom Challenge.
People from all of the UK took part in the challenge and made over 6,000 pompoms. These tactile, vibrant and fun individual offerings
have been woven into a giant piece of sensory art -The Tapestry of Touch.
Thousands of artists with multi-sensory impairments and without contributed to the tapestry. This is their artwork. It is yours too.
We would love to invite people to join us at our opening event on 9 April from 6 – 8pm at The Gate Arts Centre, Keppoch Street, Cardiff CF24 3JW, attended by local author who will be opening the event, Lynne Barrett-Lee.
Spread the word and help us to raise awareness of multi-sensory impairments and of Sense in your community! Please forward this invitation to anyone you think might be interested - thank you.
Most art exhibitions are hands-off. We say, let's get hands-on.
