Module 1 - Translation practice
| Aims and objectives: | To raise students' awareness of the complexities of translation and develop students' techniques of annotation writing. |
| Structure: | The module runs for twelve weeks during which students practice their translation skills paying particular attention to decoding and encoding, and annotation writing. In addition to a number of exercises, six longer texts will be given to translate and annotate. Personal and detailed feedback is given by the tutor as we believe students are at different stages and require tailor-made comments. |
