Employability Skills course proves a success.
Almost 100 unemployed graduates have been able to benefit from the Employability Skills programme that the Centre for Lifelong Learning has been running in partnership with the Careers Service over the last 6 months.
Latest research on training in recession
Fears that most UK companies would slash investment in skills training as a result of the recession have proved to be largely unfounded, researchers at Cardiff University and the University of London have concluded.

SME Funding Extended to 2010
We are delighted to announce that the Cardiff University Professional Development Funding package, designed to help Welsh SME's up-skill their staff, has been extended until July 2010.
The funding offers a discount of 60% on Management and Leadership courses in the Open for Business programme, and 40% on Project Management, Marketing, Communication Skills, Language and Cultural Awareness, Statistics and Finance courses.

Award for Excellence in Learning and Development
Cardiff University's Specialist Medical Modules for Legal and General has been short-listed for the Personnel Today award for Excellence in Learning and Development.
The course is developed by the Business Development Team and held within the Centre for Lifelong Learning. The innovative and accredited course trains senior underwriters and claims assessors from UK-based L&G offices in specialist medical topics.
The teaching involves practical exercises, visits, group discussions and presentations from medical experts and specialists.
The course was short-listed along with 5 other courses from prominent UK and Global organisations.
