Jane teaches news and feature writing, magazine craft and production on the Postgraduate Diploma and Masters in Magazine Journalism.
Lecturer and freelance writer, Jane has over ten years experience working on specialist consumer magazines as an Editor, Deputy Editor, Operations Editor, Production Editor and Editorial Assistant.
She has worked with both fully-freelance and in-house editorial teams and overseen the move of a bi-monthly title to a 13-issue ‘monthly’.
Her current interests lie in ‘360 degree’ commissioning concepts and the impact of the emerging ‘mobile’ journalist.
Some of the titles she has worked for include: What Mountain Bike, Cooler, T3, PC Format, MacFormat, Edge, Total Film.
She also worked for the Tindle Newspapers Group on the Farnham Herald and Surry & Hants News papers.
