Mapping Cities of the Future: Intelligence in the City

Following the visit of Cabinet Office Minister Francis Maude to the School in March, Alain Chiaradia and Louie Sieh were invited by the Adjacent Government e-magazine to write an article that focussed on how efficient cities best serve their communities, how the work that the School of Planning and Geography at Cardiff University is doing could help enable more efficient and effective spatial planning analysis and what other local authorities and communities could learn from the Regeneration of Swansea High Street initiative.

The Adjacent Government publication focuses on all aspects of government policy topics that are relevant to the public sector, including the built environment and planning. Itis digitally distributed to a number of key people within the public sector including local authorities, NHS Trusts, housing associations, planning departments, finance managers, government departments and the European Commission.
