Because of climate change cities need sustainable energy and climate action plans to reduce their vulnerability of energy scarcity and to reduce carbon emission – as a part of a comprehensive strategy and not only as the result of project-oriented measures.
Prof. Dr. Detlef Kurth is a professor at the faculty of architecture and jointly responsible for the research and the study programmes in the Bachelor in Architecture and the Master in Urban Planning. His shared research topics are urban design, urban renewal and urban development.
Prof. Dr. Kurth is also Programme Dean of the Master in Urban Planning and responsible for the lecture programmes and study structure.
