Professor Andrew Sayer, Lancaster University
Tuesday 18th November 2014 - 5:30pm
Glamorgan Building Committee Rooms
THIS EVENT IS NOW FULL! HOWEVER, WE WILL BE PROVIDING A LIVE BROADCAST OF THE EVENT ON OUR YOUTUBE PAGE FROM 6PM ON THE DAY.
Event hosted by the Innovation and Engagement Unit
The event begins with a drinks reception at 5:30pm for a 6pm lecture start.
Professor Andrew Sayer, Lancaster University, joins the events schedule to launch his book 'Why We Can't Afford the Rich'.
This book explains how, over the last 35 years, the rich and super-rich have made a comeback by expanding ways of extracting wealth from economies and manipulating political agendas to suit their interests. It further shows how they are deepening the double crisis of economy and environment, and suggests solutions.
For those unable to come along, we will be providing a live-broadcast of the event which will feature on the School’s YouTube page and will start at 6pm
The book isn’t publishing until the 25th November, but we are able to offer those in attendance an order form to purchase the book at the ‘special event price’ of £15
