We’re proud to take part in Wales’ biggest cultural events each year.

These festivals allow us to meet people from across Wales and beyond, share what we do, and offer a glimpse into student life in Cardiff.

Celebrating the Welsh language and culture sits at the heart of what we do. We’re committed to supporting events that bring communities together and showcase our shared heritage.

You’ll find us at major festivals such as the Urdd Eisteddfod, the National Eisteddfod, and Tafwyl, where we create a welcoming space to connect, learn, and celebrate. We’ve also taken part in wider cultural events, including the Hay Festival, reflecting our broader commitment to cultural engagement across Wales.

Subscribe to our newsletter for the latest festival stories and updates, available in Welsh and English.

Life at Cardiff University

At festivals, we bring our work to life through a range of activities, including engaging talks, live performances, and hands‑on sessions that showcase our research and our passion for the Welsh language.

We also invite visitors to stop by, chat with us, and learn more about studying here and what student life in Cardiff is really like.
