Located in the School of Biosciences, the Wales Centre for Anatomical Education is one of the few centres in the UK, and the only centre in Wales, that offers cadaveric dissection as a learning tool to undergraduate science, medical and dental students.

The Centre provides a rich environment for the learning of anatomy using a blended approach of cadaveric dissection, interactive tutorials and online learning. This approach provides students with an applied first-hand experience of the complex structure and function of the human body.

In addition to approximately 2000 undergraduate students from diverse courses, the centre regularly hosts continuing professional development events for postgraduates and healthcare professionals including surgeons, anaesthesiologists, and physiotherapists.
