EPSRC Net Zero Aviation Centre for Doctoral Training
Driving innovation for a sustainable future, the CDT in Net Zero Aviation is training the next generation of researchers to help decarbonise the aviation industry.
About the Net Zero CDT
Our Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) offers fully-funded PhD studentships in a variety of projects, across our Academic Schools and interdisciplinary Research Institutes. Students will benefit from an excellent local research environment as well as a comprehensive programme of research and professional skills development.
The EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Net Zero Aviation is focused on tackling one of the most pressing global challenges: decarbonising the aviation industry. Through a combination of cutting-edge research and close collaboration with industry, the programme supports the development of innovative technologies, sustainable operations, and forward-thinking policy to help achieve the UK’s Net Zero targets. Students are equipped to lead change across the sector, with a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary learning, real-world impact, and the wider social, economic, and environmental aspects of aviation. The CDT in Net Zero Aviation offers researchers the chance to help shape the future of sustainable flight through real-world, impactful PhD training.
