Collaboration with affiliate imaging laboratories

Such as, the Biophotonics laboratory at the School of Biosciences.

The Bioimaging Research Hub incorporates a full histology slide preparation service and multiple state-of-the-art imaging systems, including confocal, lightsheet, multimodal high-throughput, high-content and widefield microscopes, with capabilities from subcellular to whole organism imaging.

Associated in-house expertise provides concept-to-completion training and application support across all imaging platforms, including provision for data analysis and interpretation, report writing and grant and manuscript preparation.

The Bioimaging Hub collaborates with affiliate imaging laboratories, like the  the School of Biosciences' Biophotonics laboratory, and other equipment spokes across Cardiff University. This facilitates access to additional cutting-edge imaging platforms, such as Coherent Anti-Stokes Raman Scattering (CARS) and multiphoton microscopy, laser capture microdissection, and in vivo imaging, together with essential knowledge and expertise.

The Hub is also active in the development of educational and learning resources to facilitate research, teaching and science outreach and engagement at Cardiff.
