Biography

I have studied Creative Writing under Professor Jo Clifford in Edinburgh and completed her MSc in Translation Studies at the University of Edinburgh and her PhD in Literary Translation at the University of East Anglia.

My translation work into Japanese, all performed in Tokyo, includes Mary Stuart, The Orphan Muses, As You Desire Me, Great Expectations, Anna Karenina, La Strada and The Bodyguard the Musical. I also translate into English and her works include Lautrec the Musical, Sempo the Musical, Tenshu-Tale, Forbidden, On Air, The Sun and The Obelisk of the Beast.

Also, my subtitling work include Run for the Money and Dogora for Netflix as well as The Obelisk of the Beast and The Sun, Oradixon.

Another filed I am passionate about is medical translation/transcription (NSCLC, HS, CKD, WAIHA, HF and HIV).

Currently, I am one of the judges for The Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation Translation Prize 2023/24.
