Biography

After many years with environmental and conservation NGOs and a couple of years presenting on BBC TV and BBC Radio 4's Costing the Earth, I qualified as a solicitor and became Head of Legal at the Anglers' Conservation Association (now Fish Legal). Following twelve years in private practice as a sole practitioner, specialising in environmental and freedom of infomation law, I am now in-house lawyer for WildFish, advising on planning matters, wildlife and conservation law, common law and statutory actions against water companies, polluters, freedom of information issues and other matters.I have a particular interest in access to environmental information and referrals to both the UK and Scottish Information Commissioners.

At Cardiff, I run the pro bono Climate and Environment Project at the School of Law and Politics.
