Teacher in Spanish
- 1.30, 66a Park Place, Cathays, Cardiff, CF10 3AS
I come from Galicia in the north-west of Spain, a region famous for its Celtic traditions and lovely seafood. I have a BA (Hons) in English from the University of Santiago de Compostela, a city full of history and whose old town is considered one of the world's most beautiful urban areas. I also did a Spanish Teaching as a Foreign Language course with the Cervantes Institute.
I taught in a language school in Santiago, then moved to Cardiff where I started teaching Spanish at Cardiff Language Academy, and worked as Spanish language assistant in the Open University. I have been teaching Spanish in the School of Modern Languages since joining the School in 2006. I have also taught specialised Spanish to undergraduates from the School of Medicine.
I am committed to providing students with a dynamic and interesting learning environment in which they can grow and develop their language skills. I always aim to encourage students to participate in extra-curricular activities and study groups, which I believe instils them with a self-directed lifelong experience.
I love travelling, reading and music, and I have a great interest in learning other languages and exploring cultures.
