I am currently studying for a PhD in Material Engineeing. I am also a Research Assistant in the Civil Engineering Department at Cardiff University. My Research in Materials Engineering is focused on sustainable concrete design and durability.

Research interests
Previous Research: During my Masters, I worked on better understanding the shrinkage behaviour of alkali activated binders (geopolymers) under different exposure conditions. I investigated the effect of preparation method (one or two part) on the shrinkage behaviour of alkali activated mortars and evaluated the efficiency of conventional shrinkage mitigation techniques on those materials.I also evaluated the influence of exposure conditions on the efficiency and mechanisms of the applied shrinkage mitigation techniques.
