This module uses HSK Standard Course 4A, covering Lessons 1–5 of HSK 4 Volume 1 (to be replaced by New HSK Course 4 (HSK 3.0) upon publication).
On successful completion of the module a student will be able to:
- engage with more complex topics;
- understand longer dialogues and texts;
- express ideas with greater detail and accuracy;
- develop more structured spoken and written expression.

Learning and teaching
This course is for learners who have completed HSK 3 or equivalent study.
Teaching includes communicative practice, guided reading, discussion, grammar analysis, and structured speaking tasks.
