Interdisciplinary Precision Oncology Hub student wins international award

Congratulations are in order for Cardiff University Interdisciplinary Precision Oncology Hub (IPOCH) PhD student Faye Warren.

Faye was awarded a Cum Laude Poster Award for her work PDSC: a dynamic stopping criterion for active learning in medical image segmentation: a multi-dataset evaluation at SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics’ Medical Imaging (Image Processing) conference in Vancouver, Canada last month.

IPOCH Director Professor Emiliano Spezi praised Faye and emphasised the awards wider impact;

“This recognition highlights Faye’ outstanding work at the intersection of cutting-edge image engineering, computer science and medicine. This is an exciting milestone for our Hub and a testament to our students and supervisory teams work.”
