Development of ASEAN competencies will help to harmonise UG dental education in SE Asia.
With an overall aim to harmonize undergraduate dental education amongst Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), in this paper Supachai Chuenjitwongsa, Suchit Poolthong, Alison Bullock and Richard Oliver report on how competencies for general dental practitioners were developed.
The ASEAN competencies will facilitate further developments in ASEAN dental education.
