25 subjects feature in 2015 QS rankings.

The University features amongst the world's elite institutions in 25 of 33 subjects according to the latest QS World University Rankings by subject, published today (00.01, Wednesday 29th April, 2015). 

The QS World University Rankings by Subject rank some 894 institutions across the world examining over 100M citations and over 14,000 University programs to come-up with a list of the world's leading universities by subject area.

The top three highlights for the University are:

Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Elizabeth Treasure said: "Coming on the back of our outstanding performance in the Research Excellence Framework the publication of this year's QS University Rankings by Subject cements our position amongst the world's very best.

"Whilst architecture, psychology and geography can be singled out for specific praise achieving a world top 50, what is especially pleasing is the breath of quality that we can point to in many subject areas.

"From the social sciences, to biomedical and life sciences right through to the physical sciences we rank amongst the very best.

"However, we are not complacent and as a University, as a whole, our aim is to be consistently ranked amongst the world's top 100.

"These results are positive and a step forward in achieving our overall objective."
