Three members of staff from the Schools of Healthcare Sciences and Medicine at Cardiff University have been awarded over £30,000 through the Coleg Cymru Cenedlaethol's Strategic Development Fund.

Dr Zoë Morris-Williams and Gaynor Williams from the School of Healthcare Sciences and Sara Whittam from the School of Medicine will use this funding to develop new e-learning resources for undergraduates who are studying healthcare courses through the medium of Welsh. This significant investment means that Cardiff University can develop high quality, fit for purpose and attractive resources for Welsh medium students.

We also hope that these resources will help students who want to study healthcare courses in Welsh, develop their clinical and communication skills which will stand them in good stead with their future careers.  Gaynor Williams said:  "Developing these resources will help us progress the Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol's aim to give students the opportunity to study a third of their healthcare courses through the medium of Welsh."
