Five new academic positions announced

The application deadline for all five positions is Sunday 25 June.

Five new teaching posts have been announced by the School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies.

They come at an exciting time with planning and preparation well underway for the School’s relocation to a new state-of-the-art building in Cardiff’s Central Square Development, situated alongside national broadcaster BBC Wales and other media organisations.

The posts, three of which are at Senior Lecturer level, are aimed at expanding the School’s teaching and research expertise across areas such as Digital Journalism, Communication and the Creative and Cultural Industries.

Head of School Professor Stuart Allan said, “Our School aims to be at the forefront of our subject area in journalism, media and culture. These five new posts help us to consolidate our existing strengths, and also to develop new ones for the future. We are believers in research-led teaching, recognising the importance of engaging with real-world issues, questions and challenges.”
