The National Software Academy has been shortlisted in this year’s ESTnet Wales Technology Awards in the ‘Trailblazer of the Year’ category.

A record number of entries was received and the Academy is one of just three finalists to be whittled down by the ESTnet judging panel.

The ESTnet Awards celebrate organisations in the technology sector in Wales and the ‘Trailblazer of the Year’ category recognises those who have done well by doing good. The winners will be a company that has changed its internal culture and processes to improve, innovate and lead by example. This could have been achieved through a number of different avenues - for example, the finalists may have:

  • Attracted more females to a male dominated industry
  • Created a fantastic place to work through an innovative reward and recognition process for staff
  • Made a positive contribution to the local environment through staff incentives or a change in business practice

Matthew Turner, the National Software Academy Manager said “To be shortlisted in such a strong field is a fantastic achievement, this demonstrates how successful, innovative and relevant the Academy is.”

The awards night will be taking place at the Millennium Centre on 22 June and more information on the event can be found here.
