School participates in STEM event for local schoolchildren

On Wednesday 14th September, the School of Chemistry participated in the STEM Live! Event, where over 200 local Year 8 students explored the practicalities of humans living on Mars.
The School contributed a workshop where students explored how fuels could be used to generate energy on Mars. In the workshop, students were able to experiment with and compare biodiesel and photovoltaic methods of energy generation.
