Celebrating league table success

The School of Geography and Planning has been ranked 13th in the UK for Town and Country Planning and Landscape in the Times Good University Guide 2026.
The position reflects the School’s commitment to providing high-quality teaching, conducting world-class research, and offering an excellent student experience.
This recognition follows successful rankings in other tables published over recent months, which placed the School in the UK top 10 for Town And Country Planning And Landscape Design in The Complete University Guide 2026 and top 100 in the world for Geography and Architecture / Built Environment in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025.
The rankings also demonstrate the real-world impact of the School’s programmes, which prepare graduates to respond to some of the most urgent issues facing society today.
Through innovative courses and a supportive learning environment, students develop the skills and knowledge needed to design sustainable places, create inclusive communities, and address the challenges of climate change.
