Dr Inserra wins Outstanding Contribution Award for researcher development

The Vitae Impact, Culture and Engagement (ICE) Award recognises Dr Cosimo Inserra’s contribution to the researcher development community.
Dr Cosimo Inserra has been awarded the Outstanding Contribution Award in the prestigious Vitae Impact, Culture and Engagement (ICE) Awards 2025.
This trophy is a testament to the power of collaboration and belongs to everyone I’ve worked with, as every act has helped us take meaningful steps toward a better research culture.

The award recognises Dr Inserra’s significant contribution to the researcher development community, honouring his efforts to support researchers to achieve their full potential.
Cosimo’s work has had a real and lasting impact on how we support researchers, both here at Cardiff and across the sector. His ability to turn equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) principles into practical change is impressive and widely respected. I’m delighted to see his efforts recognised with this win.
The Vitae ICE Awards ceremony took place during the Vitae International Researcher Development Conference Gala dinner on Monday 22 September at The Harbour Hotel, Bristol, UK.
