Business school staff shortlisted for Enriching Student Life Awards

Three Cardiff Business School staff members - Dr Kevin Evans, Jane McElroy, and Daniel Pierce - have been shortlisted for the Enriching Student Life Awards (ESLAs), which celebrate those who make a meaningful impact on student experience.
Run in partnership between Cardiff University and the Students’ Union, the ESLAs acknowledge the dedication of staff and students who go above and beyond to enrich university life.
This year saw 1,950 nominations across 16 categories, highlighting the exceptional contributions within the university community.

Daniel Pierce, Student Experience Coordinator.
Daniel commented: “I am honoured to be both nominated and shortlisted for this award, especially when I see the incredible work of all my inspiring colleagues around me! Doing this work every day is a true joy, and I feel incredibly grateful to be recognised.”
Jane McElroy, Careers Advisor.
Jane said: “I’m delighted to be shortlisted for the ESLA. I enjoy my role as a Careers Adviser, providing students and graduates with advice in making informed decisions about future career plans, identifying opportunities to develop employability skills, supporting with the job application process to achieve career goals and next steps after university.”

Kevin said: "I am delighted to have been shortlisted for this award. To have been nominated is humbling, let alone being shortlisted. I am extremely grateful that students took the trouble to nominate me, and I am glad that I may have had a small influence on their learning and experience."
