Professor Jane Lynch shines at procurement excellence awards

Professor Jane Lynch, Director for the Centre of Public Value Procurement at Cardiff University, has won Individual of the Year at The Government Opportunities (GO) Awards Wales 2023, the leading public procurement excellence awards.

Held in November 2023, The GO Awards Wales recognised the very best procurement achievements and successes of all involved in the delivery of Welsh public sector services. The awards were judged by leading procurement figures from across Wales and the UK.

Professor Lynch was celebrated for her work as the Director of the Centre of Public Value Procurement. The research centre aims to grow and support the talent pool of procurement professionals.

As a Professor of Procurement at Cardiff Business School, Jane undertakes multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research, offering expertise in public procurement, social value, innovation in procurement, and supply chain collaboration. She is passionate about embedding sustainability into procurement practices for the benefit of current and future generations.

Wales has led the way in delivering innovative and creative solutions to the many challenges facing the public sector. As public sector procurement and its associated supply chain continue to evolve, the GO Awards Wales are a powerful benchmark of progress and development.
