On Saturday 23rd April 2016 Cardiff University Year 1 and 2 Medical Students once again joined forces with the Rotaract Club in Cardiff to run four Knowing your Blood Pressure (KYBP) blood pressure booths in a city centre shopping centre.

38 medical students were assisted by staff from the Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre, members of City of Cardiff Rotaract, and a general practitioner.

This 2nd event saw a visit by the ITV Wales cameras where students, support staff and members of the public were able to talk about the importance of ‘Knowing your Blood Pressure’.

The students were great ambassadors for the School of Medicine, and did a great job talking to the shoppers about reducing risk of stroke, the FAST test, and atrial fibrillation and whist taking over 250 blood pressure readings.
