This is My Truth: Senedd book launch for Nye’s Bevan collection

Hiraeth Podcast and Cardiff University’s Wales Governance Centre will team up to hold an official launch for a vital collection of Aneurin Bevan articles at the Senedd Cymru in July.

In a broadcast live from the Senedd, Nye Davies will outline ‘Bevan in his own words’, describing a political journey that is too often analysed superficially.

Published earlier this year by University of Wales Press, This is My Truth is Nye Davies’ edited collection of Aneurin Bevan’s most important articles for Tribune magazine from its founding in 1937 until his death in 1960. Beginning with an introduction that charts Bevan’s writing career and emphasises Bevan’s legacy, the collection showcases his analysis of class conflict, capitalism, democracy, the world and democratic socialism.

Mark Drakeford, MS for Cardiff West and First Minister, is sponsoring the launch event in the Oriel (café area) at the Senedd Cymru on the evening of July 6th, 2023 – one day after the birthday of the NHS.
