Looking ahead to Welsh budget day

In recognition of UCU strike action at a number of Higher Education institutions on 1-3 December, we have postponed this budget briefing event to December 7th (10am). Registered attendees don't need to take any further action.

Researchers at Cardiff University’s Wales Governance Centre have announced the date for their briefing event ahead of the Welsh Government budget.

As the Welsh Government Draft Budget for 2022-23 is scheduled to be published on December 20th, the Wales Fiscal Analysis team will map out the Welsh Budget Outlook and issue an authoritative report on the choices to be made on Welsh public services and devolved taxes.

While the financial outlook for Welsh public services has been transformed by last month’s UK Government budget, ministers now face key decisions on issues including pandemic recovery costs, local government services, and public sector pay.
