Wilkommen to Denise

We have a very warm welcome for Denise Micic who has joined our German language teaching team.

Denise brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm and is keen to meet our students.

Denise is originally from Freiburg, which is a beautiful town located in the South of Germany, very close to the border to Switzerland and France. She moved to the UK in 2010 after having spent some time in Cardiff as part of her undergraduate degree.

After Denise permanently moved to Cardiff, she completed her PGCE as well as a MA in Education degree and then from 2011 till 20019 she worked as Head of Modern Foreign Languages in a mainstream Secondary School at the outskirts of Bristol – a job she thoroughly enjoyed.

Denise recently started teaching at Cardiff University within the Languages for All programme in February 2020 and commented:

“I am extremely excited to be a part of the team at the School of Modern Languages and Continuing and Professional Education at Cardiff University and am looking forward to many years of teaching German here.”
