Cardiff University students wanting to work in the Welsh capital after graduating are getting the chance to meet with local employers in a first of its kind careers fair.

Held on 19th April 2016 at Y Plas in the University’s Students’ Union, the fair will feature more than 30 organisations from Cardiff and south Wales who have opportunities for graduates from all disciplines.

Employer Liaison Officer, Virginia Bonet Morell, explains more: “Around 40 percent of Cardiff University graduates find a job in Cardiff or South Wales after graduation. For this reason we are launching our brand new careers fair, ‘Grads Love Cardiff’ with local opportunities for students wishing to stay in the Welsh capital.

“At this there will be a wide variety of employers who are looking for students from different degree disciplines. From large recruiters to local SMEs and start-up business, there will be a range of exhibitors all with graduate opportunities for Cardiff University students.”

The fair is sponsored by Admiral, one of the largest private employers in Cardiff. A spokesperson for the company said: “Admiral is delighted to be a key sponsor of the Grads Love Cardiff Careers Fair at Cardiff University. We employ more than 3,000 people in our Cardiff city centre headquarters and graduates play a vital role in the development of our rapidly expanding business.
