Healthcare subjects achieve number 1 in Wales and Top 10 in the UK

Cardiff University, School of Healthcare Sciences has achieved 1st place in Wales and top 10 in the UK for Physiotherapy, Nursing, Radiography and Subjects Allied to Medicine in the Times Good University Guide 2020.

This positions the University’s health subjects as some of the top in the UK. Among the programmes ranked highly are:

  • Physiotherapy ranked 1st in Wales and 3rd in the UK.
  • Nursing ranked 1st in Wales and 8th in the UK (This includes all Nursing and Midwifery).
  • Subjects Allied to Medicine ranked 1st in Wales and 9th in the UK (This includes Occupational Therapy and Operating Department Practice).
  • Radiography ranked 1st in Wales and 4th in the UK (This includes both Diagnostic Radiography & Imaging and Radiotherapy & Oncology).

The Times Good University Guide is widely respected, and the score is based on a variety of measures to include; entry standards, student-staff ratios, services and facilities, completion rates, first-class and 2:1 degrees, graduate prospects and the 2014 Research Excellence Framework.
