Colloquium: Perspectives on the History of Welsh Conservatism

To mark the lodging on the Welsh Conservative Assembly Group’s papers from the first decade of devolution in the National Library for Wales, this special colloquium will explore different perspectives on the history of the Welsh Conservatives.

Organised by Cardiff University’s Wales Governance Centre in cooperation with David Melding AM, the colloquium will feature presentations from some of the foremost scholars working in the field and include a first assessment of the contents of the Assembly Group’s papers.

Participants will include Fay Jones (chair), Sam Blaxland, Professor Laura McAllister, David Torrance, David Melding AM, Rhys Evans and Professor Richard Wyn Jones.

The event will take place on Friday 18th October at the Pierhead building in Cardiff Bay.
