Cardiff University and Cynnal Cymru to host the Sustainable Built Environment Conference 2019
20 August 2019
The Sustainable Built Environment Conference 2019 will be held at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on the 24 and 25 September.
The conference will bring together climate and energy researchers, built environment professionals, policy experts and government officials to focus on the transition of energy and low carbon policies into practice.
The conference will be hosted by Cardiff University and Cynnal Cymru and has been designed so that topics will allow delegates to increase their knowledge and skills related to climate change policies and actions, building design, renovation and retrofit issues and the performance of buildings and materials.
SBE19 will include several key note presentations from high profile speakers including: Eluned Morgan AM Minister for International Relations and the Welsh Language, Keith Clarke CBE, Chairman of Forum for the Future and Director of Constructionarium Ltd, and Polly Billington Director at UK100. Along with the presentations the conference will also include break-out sessions, workshops and a climate change round table debate.
The International Sustainable Built Environment Conference Series began in 2000 and operates on a three-year cycle starting with a year of planning, followed by a year of national or regional conferences culminating in a single global event in year three. The series places a core emphasis on peer-reviewed papers, presentations of regional policy papers, displays of pre-evaluated projects and a small number of high-quality commercial exhibits. These events also provide fast-track inclusion of the best technical papers from national/regional conferences into the global event.
Online registration for the conference is now open and payments can be made via the Cardiff University Events Portal.
