Lively short course held for the Diploma in Professional Practice

Professor Sarah Lupton recently directed a lively and productive short course for the Diploma in Professional Practice.

The course comprised of workshops and seminars on procurement, contract administration, marketing and project management skills, career evaluation and professional interviews.

It was run by Programme Leader, Sarah Lupton, together with the School’s external expert consultants, Manos Stellakis (Lupton Stellakis) and Rob Firth (ActionCOACH Global).

Other invited experts gave a range of seminars on a variety of topics including design management from Dale Sinclair (Aecom), financial management with Michael Holmes (Michael Holmes Consultancy) and professional fees with Vince Nacey (Mirza & Nacey Research).

Professor Lupton, Welsh School of Architecture, said:

“This was a very successful week packed with interesting and useful advice from a range of experts, focussing on cutting edge topics of immediate practical application. I am now welcoming enquiries on the two postgraduate courses I will be running from September 2019; the Master of Design Administration, and the Diploma Professional Practice (Part 3)”.
