As part of his visit to Cardiff University, Universities and Science Minister Jo Johnson and Alun Cairns the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Wales visited the Cardiff Catalysis Institute.

Along with Professor Colin Riordan, Vice-Chancellor of Cardiff University and Professor Karen Holford, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for the College of Physical Sciences and Engineering, both the distinguished guests were greeted by Professor Graham Hutchings FRS, Directors of the Catalysis Institute.

Professor Hutchings, along with several members of the institute research staff introduced the Ministers to some of the world-leading research undertaken within the institute including catalytic converter research, greywater treatment and supercritical materials preparation.
