We hosted senior Labour politicians to discuss the future of the Union at an event held at the Wales Governance Centre.

The First Minister of Wales Carwyn Jones AM, the former Prime Minister Gordon Brown, the leader of Scottish Labour Kezia Dugdale MSP, and former Deputy Prime Minister Lord John Prescott, came together on Wednesday (29 March 2017) to discuss the future of the United Kingdom at an event held by the Wales Governance Centre at Cardiff University.

Speaking after the event, Acting Director of the Wales Governance Centre at Cardiff University Professor Roger Scully said:

"The constitutional landscape of the United Kingdom is changing rapidly and it was fascinating to hear the panel’s thoughts and contributions on the future of the UK’s constitution.

"As Brexit opens up another round of public debate on the constitution, be it independence for Scotland or further devolution to Wales, it is vitally important that such discussions are conducted in public so that all people can engage with the subject at hand."
