Volunteering at Grange Pavilion
2 October 2018
Cardiff University's CPD Unit team spent an afternoon volunteering at Grange Pavilion, digging, re-homing plants, and litter-picking at the local community centre.
The CPD Unit has taken part in a volunteering session at Grange Pavilion, hosted by RSPB Cymru. The Pavilion building is being demolished and rebuilt in 2019, meaning that some of the existing planters, filled with plants and flowers that attract birds and other wildlife need to be moved to a new home on the Green.
The CPD Unit spent an afternoon carefully digging up plants, transporting them across the Green, and replanting them. Other members of the team litter-picked the Green, leaving the grounds spick and span!
More photos to follow shortly.
Thank you to Ali from Grange Pavilion, and Sue Ansell from RSPB Cymru for having us, and educating us in local wildlife habitats!
