Cardiff University to lead Centre for Digital Built Britain Research Network

2 July 2018

Cardiff University's BRE Centre for Sustainable Engineering has recently been awarded funding to lead a research network as part of the Digital Built Britain (DBB) initiative. The D-COM research network, led by Dr Tom Beach and Prof Yacine Rezgui, will bring together academic and industrial participants to examine the digitalisation of built environment regulations and the feasibility of  developing (semi) automated compliance checking systems for these regulations.

Over the next six months, the D-COM network will assess the current state of the art, gather requirements from industrial/ government stakeholders, define a future research roadmap to guide developments in this area, and ascertain the capabilities required to deliver this roadmap.

For more information, or if you are interested in becoming involved in the D-COM network, please contact Dr Tom Beach. For more information on the Digital Built Britain initiative itself, see here.
