Scholarships
We offer a range of scholarships to our prospective postgraduate taught students.
International Elite Scholarships
These prestigious scholarships, designed to reward the best and brightest international students, are worth £1,500 per year (distributed as a tuition fee discount). They are awarded on a merit basis and will be available for the 2019/20 academic year for international students applying to our MA in Music programme.
You should have, or expect to achieve, either a 2.1 undergraduate degree result (or international equivalent).
You will be automatically considered for the scholarships upon application and informed via email if you have been successful.
Postgraduate Merit Scholarships
We are pleased to offer support to graduates of the School of Music who wish to pursue postgraduate studies with us on the MA in Music programme. Scholarships take the form of partial/full tuition fee contribution and are available to students who achieve a first class undergraduate degree result.
To be eligible for this award, you must have applied to the course (via the University’s online application portal) and have submitted a School Scholarship application form (available from the Postgraduate and Research Administrator) by 1 March 2019. You are also expected to apply to any University funding opportunities available (ie the Master's Excellence Studentship scheme).

Master's Excellence Studentships
We are pleased to announce that the Master's Excellence Scholarship Scheme for 2019/20 entry has been confirmed.
The University has committed to investing up to a total of £500,000 in this high value competitive scholarship scheme to support home and EU students who are planning to start an eligible master's programme in September 2019.
The Scholarships are each worth a minimum of £3,000 and will be awarded in the form of a tuition fee discount.
