IPOCH are forging the next generation of Precision Oncology leaders by equipping our students with strong interdisciplinary skills and access to clinical, industrial, and technological resources.
We believe precision oncology offers a tailored approach to cancer care. We develop treatments that target an individual’s tumour by unifying image and genomic data analytics. We champion big data and AI approaches, and we strongly advocate for robust data integration, including data security and data ethics. We're excited that precision oncology takes advantage of new developments in biomedical medical imaging and omics technologies. This will significantly impact radiology, oncology, and pathology departments, and we're ready to support that change.
Our strategies, tailored to the unique biology of a patient’s disease, range from targeted therapies to using data from next-generation sequencing to select treatments, regardless of cancer type. This means we tackle large and diverse oncology datasets across digital imaging, pathology, spatial genomics, and patient information. We recognise that this data presents substantial management and research challenges, demanding advanced research skills and an interdisciplinary approach. That's why IPOCH exists – we address the growing need to increase knowledge and skills in this vital area.
