Trosolwg

I am a postgraduate research student based in CUBRIC. In my thesis, I will investigate information processing speed (IPS). In particular, I will examine the cognitive, demographic and biological factors that influence both motor and cognitive IPS. Moreover, I also aim to research how changes in IPS across the lifespan are related to brain microstructure and connectivity.

Postgraduate Education:

MSc in Psychology (Technical University of Dresden, Germany).

Thesis: “Roles of Uncertainty and Information Integration during Decision Making in Young Adults”

Undergraduate Education:

BSc in Business Psychology (University of Applied Sciences Osnabrueck, Germany)

Thesis: “The Effects and Interplay of Mindfulness, Social Support, and Emotion

Regulation on Students' Perception of Stress” (in German)

The main focus of my work is to explore the characteristics and neural underpinnings of information processing speed. More broadly, I am interested in the study of decision making: How do we manage to filter relevant information and integrate it with prior beliefs/models? How do our experiences shape learning and affect future decisions? How do decision making capacities change across the lifespan and in neurodegenerative diseases? What neural activations underlie all these processes and how can they be modelled?
