Dr Damian Pryor

We are sorry to announce the untimely death of our colleague Dr Damian Pryor who sadly died on 12th January 2015 in a canoeing accident last week. Damian was a respected paediatric intensivist who joined us in 2002 having been lead of paediatric intensive care at King’s College Hospital, London. Whilst being a paediatric consultant, he made an excellent contribution to the teaching of undergraduate medical students for the Department of Child Health at the School of Medicine.

He enjoyed teaching the medical students and we shall miss his enthusiasm and his character. Damian will also be missed by all of us at the School of Medicine and by the Child’s Directorate at UHW. Our thoughts are with his wife, also paediatric consultant, and his two daughters.
